The Education Sustainable Development activity entitled “Growing Love for the Environment towards a Sustainable Ecosystem Protection System” was held in May-August 2017 at Trisik Elementary School which is located in the coastal area of Trisik Beach. This activity aims to provide an understanding of the importance of the coast and its preservation to early childhood in school with the hope of growing awareness of the benefits and potentials that exist in their environment, and how to practice environmental awareness and preserve it into the future.

The coastal area is an area prone to disasters from both land and sea, so this activity also seeks to provide understanding and recognition of possible disasters and train mental preparedness and the ability to protect oneself through the practice of “Disaster Preparedness”. In addition, this activity also provides skills training in the form of training on the processing of fishery products that are very potential in the coastal area of Trisik Beach to the student’s parents/guardians so that they are expected to help acquire and revive the economy in this area. This activity also provided assistance in the form of educational posters and banners calling to care for coastal areas, ten types of books and encyclopedias on marine life, six packages of trash bins that distinguish types of organic and non-organic waste, and banners prohibiting swimming in the sea. It is hoped that this activity can foster the love of the young generation for the coast and care and be responsive to the potentials that exist in coastal areas.
