The Fish Product Technology Study Program (FPT-SP) S1 is one of the study programs at the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The Department of Fisheries was founded in 1963 under the name of the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. FPT-SP was established on May 1, 1985 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education Republic of Indonesia Number 22/DIKTI/Kep/1985. Currently the accreditation status for the FPT-SP is A based on the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education Number 961/SK/BAN-PT/ Ak-PPJ/S/I/ 2020, dated 21 January 2020.
The FPT-SP learns about processing fish products from post-harvest to producing high quality fish products that are zero waste and environmentally friendly and sustainable, including fermentation techniques, waste management of fishery products, diversification of processed fish products, development of marine natural product, also how to solve fishery-related problems.
